From Aug 26th through Aug 31st Albert Creek averaged 56 birds/day and 0.387 birds/net-hour for a total of 336 birds banded. White-winged Crossbill on the 27th and American Tree Sparrow on the 28th were new banding species for the season. The MacGillivray's Warbler was recaptured on the 28th. The top 5 most numerous species banded during the period were Yellow-rumped Warbler (130), Common Yellowthroat (37), Orange-crowned Warbler (31), Alder Flycatcher (21), and Wilson's Warbler (15). The current season top 5 is Yellow-rumped Warbler (247), Northern Waterthrush (186), Tennessee Warbler (150), , Common Yellowthroat (148) and Alder Flycatcher (112).
The observation highlights included 3 flocks of Sandhill Cranes on the 30th and a Pileated Woodpecker on the 31st. At least 12 European Starlings are still roosting in the area.
